Nelson to Vote Yes?

Polipundit is speculating about the Alito vote, and notes Nebraska's own Ben Nelson may very well be the lone Democrat voting for confirmation. Polipundit is also guessing a 50 to 54 total tally in favor of confirmation. Via The Blogometer,...
Miers Withdraws

This is the only sensible thing that's happened since she was nominated. We don't get many "do-overs" in life, Mr. President. So let's "do-it-over" better, shall we? Some really tepid B.S. from the article: Under withering attack from conservatives, President...

ABC News:2008: Democrats: Fresh from his Northwestern University speech calling for the withdrawal of 80,000 of the more than 150,000 American troops from Iraq next year and a complete withdrawal by the end of 2007, former Sen. Tom Daschle (D-SD)...
Alito

Samuel Alito is Bush's pick for the Supreme Court. I predict he is savaged by Democrats for being insensitive to women because he doesn't believe in Court imposed abortion on demand. He will also have to answer criticisms that he's...
UN "Experts" Unhappy With "Club Gitmo" Access

U.N. human rights experts insist on access to Guantanamo detainees

U-N human rights investigators say they won't accept an invitation to visit U-S detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay unless they can have access to detainees.

Let's see now - this is the same UN Commission on Human Rights that expelled the USA in May 2001 (note - before the Islamofascist War was admitted to) but granted seats to the likes of Libya, Syria, and Sudan. Now THERE are some examples for human rights! Yeah, right.

U-S officials insist the hundreds of prisoners held at Guantanamo are being treated humanely. The government, and lawyers for detainees, say some of the prisoners staging hunger strikes are being force fed. So far, only the International Committee of the Red Cross has been allowed to visit the detainees.

If the ICRC isn't good enough for the UN, then to hell with their bogus Commission - especially when they defend genocidal regimes like Sudan, and supporters of the Islamofascist terrs like Syria.
