GOP Leader Waking Up?
Frist to take on border bill first
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said yesterday that the Senate will tackle border security and interior immigration enforcement before turning to the broader question of immigration reforms and a guest-worker program. This is only encouraging. While Frist doesn't sound nearly as clear on the border issue as Cong. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) does, he's apparently moving in a better direction - which is NOT what the administration really wants to see.
