No TimFrist to take on border bill first
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said yesterday that the Senate will tackle border security and interior immigration enforcement before turning to the broader question of immigration reforms and a guest-worker program. "It is a separate issue, but it's one that people understand," the Tennessee Republican said of border security. "It's an immediate issue, it needs to be addressed more aggressively, we need to do that."This is only encouraging. While Frist doesn't sound nearly as clear on the border issue as Cong. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) does, he's apparently moving in a better direction - which is NOT what the administration really wants to see.
Tim Blair wasn't on Hoist the Black Flag today, which is understandable when you think about the 14-hour time difference. Ace is talking about a taped interview in the future, and that would be nice....
