Solution: Self-government

Flight 93 Memorial to Honor Islam?!

"Crescent of Embrace" Selected Design

Few would protest the appropriateness of a memorial at the site of the crash of United Flight 93 near Shanksville, PA on 9-11. More than a few are apparently appalled, as is the Chief, by the design that was selected:

What in the world possesses some of these people when they do something like this. Here's the group of people featured on this evening's TV special (Discovery ch.) Are they REALLY so dense as to be oblivious to the reactions to this, or is there some other agenda of uber-political correctness? One has to wonder.

has about as complete a presentation on this as anywhere, with links to other explanatory sites.

Katrina Relief Efforts Compared to Past Hurricaines

In blaming FEMA and POTUS for the disasterous response to Katrina, the Press seems altogether uninterested in how these relief efforts compare to past Hurricaines. Here's Jack Kelly from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Jason van Steenwyk is a Florida Army National...
Pork Fails to Stop Floodwater; Government Still Not Big Enough

Maybe this is something that the Louisiana voters can ask their delegation about: Army's engineers spent millions on Louisiana projects labeled as pork. Before Hurricane Katrina breached a levee on the New Orleans Industrial Canal, the Army Corps of Engineers...
Louisiana's Ghost Train

As I've stated in this space before, I think that the registered voters of Louisiana have a lot of questions that need to be answered. Nagin said that by daybreak, he might have to order the first mandatory evacuation in...
