Political Gain & Self-Love: Huffington Post Staples

Only one of the world's biggest hacks could possibly dump hurricane Katrina in George Bush's lap. RFJ Jr. steps up. Second place goes to fellow HuffPo clown Russell Shaw, who ponders that if Carter had beat Reagan, would N.O. have...

FEMA Dumps Brown As Katrina Relief Chief

Call a spade a spade: Pres. Bush appointing this guy as head of FEMA was NOT a positive move. Pulling him out of the Katrina situation into a role of "overall supervision" is effectively kicking him upstairs to get him out of the way.

This is a necessary move, and frankly, the Chief hopes that he is gracefully moved out altogether after some period of time, to complete the process of error correction.

His replacement, Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen has HIS ducks in a row, and will be a major improvement.

Thune Comments on RINO Compromise

Sen. John Thune, (R-SD)issued the following comment on yesterdays RINO-Donk "Compromise" deal:

?I?m happy to see that three of the President?s judicial nominees will receive an up or down vote. However, I still believe that all judicial nominees with majority support deserve the fairness of an up or down vote on the Senate floor.?

Nothing there the Chief would disagree with. We did well to get Thune elected instead of that weasel Daschle!

More detailed MSM spiel on this here in the Argus.

Solution: Self-government

From Joseph Farah (read the wole thing): The Founding Fathers knew that even the best designed government wouldn't work if the people were not righteous, moral and God-fearing ? if they didn't love liberty and cherish it. To practice self-government...

The Times and the Flood

Many would like you to believe that George Bush and our Congress were content with throwing the city of New Orleans to the wolves by cutting funding for flood control. Or maybe Congress was just listening to the New York...
