*** BREAKING *** New Orleans Destroyed?

Target: DLC

Via Eric the Viking, we learn that there's a movement afoot by lib bloggers to actually make the centrist/moderate Democratic Leadership Council "radioactive." Quoth the Kos, nevermore: Two more weeks, folks, before we take them on, head on. No calls...
Gulf Coast Disaster Beyond Words

Chief nearly rendered speechless

The disaster resulting from Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans & environs, and coastal Mississippi and Alabama is of such a scope that descriptive terminology somehow falls flat in the face of the reality.

As more news comes out, the situation only worsens, at least thus far. Perhaps the description "...of Biblical proportions." is appropriate for once.

Our prayers go out to those affected, and we wish them as speedy a resolution to thier problems as may be possible.

The OTHER aspect of this that renders one speechless - but for a different reason are the attempts of certain libDonks to blame the problem on Bush and other conservatives. What a total crock. The Chief would like to slap 'em up side the head, except for the fact that s--t splatters. RFK Jr., and the others of their ilk on both sides of the Atlantic once and for all need to get a #12 cork installed in their pie holes.

David Brooks on the Iraqi Constitution

The master of kinder, gentler conservativism has a good piece on the Iraqi constitution in the New York Times. A fervent critic of Bush's policies has this to say (from Baghdad): The Bush administration finally did something right in brokering...
Rounds and Hurricane

Governor Rounds is calling for people to help hurricane victims:Gov. Mike Rounds is asking South Dakotans to help victims of Hurricane Katrina with prayers and donations. The American Red Cross needs money for its relief efforts in areas hit by...
Vegi Tales

I continue to argue that it is beneath the dignity of a political party to make someone's eating habits a political issue. I disassociate myself from any attack on Elesha Peterson Carr based on the fact that she is a...
