I told you so
I took heat for pointing out that the anti-war anti-military anti-American South Dakota Democrats could care less about Ellsworth. SDP has a National Journal article that supports my premise. Excerpt:First Thune was the whipping boy for liberal bloggers overjoyed that...
They are not progressive
From Sibby?s mailbag:Seriously, I?m reading the South Dakota blogs and I?m getting sick. It?s generally a bunch of East River people so entrenched in partisan politics that they can?t see what a great day this is for South Dakota, and...
On This Day In History: Boom
In 74 A.D., Mt. Vesuvius erupted. And if you're interested in catastrophic eruptions I highly recommend Simon Winchester's Krakatoa, a delightful read from my summer reading list....
Stupid Quote of the Day

No muss, no fuss. Direct application of lethal energy to the target with no need for ammunition. Nice.
If you have an interest in other sorts of advanced projects, the DARPA TTO site (use the PROGRAMS link) describes some of the sorts of things that are coming down the chute. SciFi comes to life - our tax dollars at work, and worth every cent!
The Vegetarian Issue
I guess Dave Kranz wrote about the news in recent weeks about the Democrats' vegetarian spokesperson:It started when Randy Frederick, state Republican chairman, suggested that his Democratic counterparts at the national level are out of touch with most South Dakotans.Frederick...
