The Ever Pointing Finger of Doom

I'd like to think that I've stayed as far away from the "It was Clinton's fault!" or "It was Bush's fault!" arugments as I can. This is because I'm confident making the following assertion: America has not spent the last...

Peace group hopes to educate parents, students about recruiters

SD moonbats are alive and well in the so-called South Dakota Peace and Justice Center. At issue is the provision for schools to pass contact information to military recruiters.

The No Child Left Behind Act specifies that military recruiters must have the same access to contact information about students at the secondary-education level as those students' other prospective employers have.

They are pushing an effort to isnsure that parents/students have the option to opt out on this contact information. WAIT! HOLD THE PRESS! If one reads to the end of Kranz's screed the information is provided that:

In the Sioux Falls School District, parents are made aware at the beginning of the year that they may keep their child's name out of a school directory, Superintendent Pam Homan says. "Parents annually grant permission to allow a student's independent use of the Internet, participate in school trips, to be photographed or filmed and be included in the school directory. It is a long-standing policy," she said. If a child's name is not included, then no one, including recruiters, can gain access to the student's name or information, she said.

In other words, what the SDPJC is arguing for, and that Dave Kranz is giving coverage on, is a problem that was solved before it started - the "opt-out" has already been in place. Phew! The world is still safe for democracy.

Hagel: "We Have Got To Get Out"

I wonder if he'll be upset all over again when MoveOn.org slaps this in an ad? Earlier the same day in Lincoln, an elderly woman asked about Iraq. "Why are we there in the first place?" she asked. On Tuesday...
One Long Post On Cindy Sheehan

The Gutfeld Drive-Bys

After browsing through his archives today, it's time I added a permanent link in the blogroll to Greg Gutfeld. I've read Gutfeld off and on for a while now, and have pretty much decided that he's more or less the...
