Israel's Peace Experiment

Settlers in Gaza resist removal

In a day laden with emotion and history, Israeli soldiers began the evacuation of Gaza yesterday by hauling weeping Jewish settlers from their homes and synagogues, defying walls of outraged residents screaming insults and abuse.

This is an amazing spectacle - Israel enforcing ethnic cleasing on it's own people in service to the Palestinian governmentterrorists. The Chief HAS to wonder what the ultimate reaction will be to the current Israeli government when it (almost inevitably) turns out that Gaza becomes a fire base for Hamas, etc. continuing their war against the existance of the Jewish state.

It won't be a pretty picture at all!

I Guess Lodging A Tax Protest Is Like Running A Marathon

Cindy Sheehan recently stated that she was not going to pay her 2004 taxes in protest of Chimpy McHitlerburton's war machine. Of course, Cindy forgot to mention that she may have some experience in not paying taxes....
The Ever Pointing Finger of Doom

I'd like to think that I've stayed as far away from the "It was Clinton's fault!" or "It was Bush's fault!" arugments as I can. This is because I'm confident making the following assertion: America has not spent the last...
Russia, China Rattle Sabres at US

War games seen as 'message'

A joint Chinese and Russian military exercise set to begin tomorrow is meant as a political signal to the United States, in addition to helping Moscow showcase its weapons for sale to China, U.S. defense and intelligence officials said yesterday.

Join in with the ostrich wing of the Donks - close your eyes and repeat the mantra: "The cold war is over. The threat from Russia is gone."

On the other hand...more realistically, it behooves us to keep our powder dry.

An Experiment

Victor Davis Hanson proposes a kind of experiment. He notes the placating of terrorists and attempts at multilateralism going on in Gaza, Iran and North Korea. These are in contrast to the muscular American efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Which...
TSA Joins Keystone Kops

Even Babies Aren't Exempt From 'No-Fly' List

Infants have been stopped from boarding planes at airports throughout the United States because their names are the same as or similar to those of possible terrorists on the government's "no-fly" list.

Bureaucratic bulls--t baffles brains once again. And the TSA is supposed to make us more safe? NOT!

It sounds like a joke, but it's not funny to parents who miss flights while scrambling to have babies' passports and other documents faxed.

Not only does it SOUND like a joke - it, er rather the TSA is a very bad joke.

The Power of Forgiveness

The DVD version of To End All Wars includes a making of documentary in which a couple of the Japanese actors explain that the wounds of the Second World War will never truly heal until their country comes to grips...
