Even Babies Aren't Exempt From 'No-Fly' List

Infants have been stopped from boarding planes at airports throughout the United States because their names are the same as or similar to those of possible terrorists on the government's "no-fly" list.

It sounds like a joke, but it's not funny to parents who miss flights while scrambling to have babies' passports and other documents faxed.

Not only does it SOUND like a joke - it, er rather the TSA is a very bad joke.

The moonbat left is declaring defeat, and saying that the experiment of democracy in Iraq is failing. The Chief thinks not. To recall some historical perspective it took the USA years to come up with a Consititution after the end of the Revolutionary War.

Neither Rome nor Washington were built in a day - so why should anyone expect a new Baghdad to happen instantly, and without some jostling? Like Bismarck once observed: "People who like sausages and laws shouldn't watch either one being made." Not a bad observation to keep in mind - it might even still apply to us! (Shocking idea, that!)

Durbin offered proof of column

Senator Dick "Turban" Durbin (Donk - IL) got himself stuck in the waffle iron, while trying to backpedal after applying a de-facto religious test to the nomination of Judge Roberts to the SCOTUS.

A law professor who used Senate Minority Whip Richard J. Durbin as a source for a column last month about federal Judge John G. Roberts Jr. -- a column that Mr. Durbin later disputed -- has a taped phone message that he says proves the accuracy of his reporting.

Damn! Pesky factual evidence of weasels at work! How's a Donk politicial supposed to do his thing when someone holds him (or her) to the facts!

In an Aug. 4 letter to Mr. Durbin, Mr. Turley laid out his detailed recollection of the situation and quoted extensively from a taped telephone message from Mr. Shoemaker. "While speculation continues as to what was said in your meeting, I wanted to establish that everything said in my article was taken directly from my notes, confirmed by your staff, and never questioned on any point on accuracy," Mr. Turley wrote. "I stayed out of this controversy for over two weeks as your staff has insisted that the account was inaccurate. However, it is grossly unfair to present this matter as an error on our part when we specifically confirmed the account with your staff and never heard a single objection on accuracy until the story ran."

What? A Donk Senator waffling? Anyone got some syrup?

This Cindy Sheehan thing is turning into a mess. I had vowed to myself that I wasn't going to say anything else about her after my two initial posts, but violated that pledge when her moonbats-in-arms accused the Secret Service...
