This is really ironic, and more. To the Chief it brings to mind some sort of three-dimensional Orwellian destruction of history, sort of like the ancient Egyptian rulers who chisled the names of predecessors off earlier stone monuments and buildings.
Maybe we could offer to help them along with the projects. Some well-placed demolition assistance delivered by high-performance aircraft might do the trick just fine!
