Preacher of hate flees Britain

Omar Bakri Mohammed, one of several British-based Islamist clerics facing possible terrorist incitement charges, has fled to Lebanon, it was reported last night.

Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Anjem Choudary, a spokesman for the dissolved al-Muhajiroun ("The Emigrants") group, said he left on Saturday, adding: "It doesn't look like he is coming back."

Looks like he doesn't want to sample the hospitality of Her Majesty's prison system. Amazing what can be done absent the ACLU!

The Voice Of Tolerance

If you go to the website of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate (i.e., San Francisco) look to the left and you'll see a video called Meet PPGG's Superhero For CHOICE. Here you will see a pro-abortion superhero drown an abstinence advocate,...

Possible Senate Cat Fight

Pirro to Challenge Clinton for Senate Seat

Jeanine Pirro, a high-profile prosecutor in the New York City suburbs, said Monday she will seek the Republican nomination to challenge Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton next year.

The Chief has been impressed with what he's seen of Jeanine Pirro on the tube. It's probably a long shot to beat Hil, but it may be possible if the right campaign is run against her. Whatever, Ms. Pirro already has her beat hands down for foxiness.

Have you been to Scott Waltman's Sturgis blog yet? Why not? He will be in Sturgis on Sunday and he needs you to give him interesting stories to cover. SD War College says it's getting 150 visitors a day. Come...
Good News for Russian Sub Sailors

Submariners in peril are saved by the 'brotherhood of the sea'

The Chief extends a "bravo zulu" (well done) to the Russian submariners who maintianed their professional composure under extremely tough conditions, and to the UK Royal Navy team that enabled the positive outcome to this potential tragedy.

Maritime disasters or potential disasters always jab the Chief's attention. Based on his own modest sea-going experience on a DDG for a couple years, it's never hard to identify with those situations - at sea anything can happen, and generally does, somewhere, sometime.

Fortunately for the Russians, this time they dodged the bullet, or should it be that they dodged the depth charge!

Funny of the Day

This one has to go to the Cracker Barrel Philosopher's take on Jon Corzine's quite substantial "loan" (which he later "forgave") to former flame -- and head of one of New Jersey's largest state-employee unions -- Carla Katz: "He was...
