Todd Epp: Hildebrand ?is kind of behind some of this"
South Dakota liberal blogger Todd Epp conceded the obvious last weekend when he told Robert Novak that former/current Daschle campaign manager Steve Hildebrand (who is still being paid by Daschle) was orchestrating the blog attacks on Senator Thune. Novak said:The...
Two and a Half Years of Hillary
Ho-hum. Hillary Clinton is moving to the "center," although if you want to put the appropriate perspective on it, what she's actually doing is co-opting the issues that a lot of mainstream Americans are concerned about. And by "concerned" I...
GOP Wins in Special Election
Ex-Lawmaker Wins Ohio Congressional Race
A Republican former state lawmaker claimed a seat in Congress on Tuesday by narrowly defeating an Iraq war veteran who drew national attention to the race with his military service and a series of harsh attacks on President Bush.

Democrats had viewed the race as a bellwether for 2006, saying even a strong showing by Hackett in such a heavily GOP district would be a good sign for them in the midterm elections. "We began this race way back in late march, and no one had thought we'd be the focus of the national media or be the so-called first test of the Republican Party and the Bush mandate. Well, ladies and gentleman, we passed that test," Schmidt said.
So he did, indeed.

Anonymity In the South Dakota Blogosphere

A Book Review from a Devoted Reader

Clearing up the confusion on the energy bill
I continue to be awed by what can only be sheer disingenuousness or an incredible level of diminished capacity on the part of the embittered former Daschle staffers/bloggers regarding the efforts (or lack thereof) since November of 2003 to pass...
